I had the opportunity to photograph a good friends brand new nephew! He was sooo darn cute, but he sure didn’t want to miss much of the session and he insisted on staying awake for most of i! I can’t blame him, as his family made a bit of a drive for their session. After a bit of a stretch we were able to finally get a few images that I hope his family can forever enjoy! Thank you so much “W” family for allowing me the opportunity to be part of another milestone in your family <3 Congratulations!!
Leah turns 1!-Sylvan Lake Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing miss Leah 3 times now! Her parents had purchased the “grow with me” package, which includes a newborn session, a 6month session (when they are sitting up well) and a fun one year session, which like Leah, included a cake smash. I had so much fun at the cake smash, Leah’s mom came prepared with the cutest things to capture some great memories of Leah as she moves into being a toddler. The cake was so beautiful and Leah just dove right in, almost before I could even pick up the camera! Leah was so good about getting messy and enjoying her first taste of sweets! I had to include some before and afters of the start and finish that just make me laugh!!! Thank you SO much “Y” family for having me capture so many wonderful memories that you that I hope you treasure for years to come, and I look forward to working with you in the future, while Leah continues to grow <3
Jenna – Sylvan Lake Family Photographer

Jenna came to visit me in the studio a few weeks ago, she was only a few days away from taking a trip somewhere warm and came with plenty of cute outfits she adored. I LOVE that she chose yellow because I just can’t seem to get enough of that colour lately!….She also brought along some dance wear and I had fun from behind the camera while she did jumps and poses. It was such a great session! I’m glad I could capture Jenna before she gets much older and turns into a full blown teenager ;)
The Kids – Sylvan Lake Family Photographer

Amelia and Cooper! I had so much fun seeing them in the studio, coaxing Cooper to play along, giving hugs and kisses to his lovely sister :) My kids visit their house once and awhile so I can get some work done :) Both girl love spending time with them and the other kids during the day. They come home with nails painted, crafts and come home having the best time! It was a pleasure to spend some extra time with them, thank you for coming and visiting us at our place :)

I enjoyed miss Kylie visiting me in the studio the other week, she came dressed so pretty in her spring poofy dress! She also had lots of fun swinging on the new swing in the studio! Her mom plan to do a storyboard in her room to remind her how beautiful she is, because when our little girls get older they can become concerned about their looks so early. It only takes a couple comments from a kid or two to make a child feel less than they should. I think she felt great after our fun session, and I KNOW she will love the new photos displayed in her room reminding her everyday how beautiful of a little girl she is.

Oh how I had so much fun with this family! The energetic kids and the great weather we’ve been having… There was this perfect amount of fresh clean snow but with the balmy temperatures, it’s near it’s end! We headed outside for some fun family images around their home, pulling the sleigh around :) After all the fun, kids still get wet and cold, so after the session was over, these lucky kids had fresh cookies waiting for them as a treat! When I came in, the kids were much more comfortable… and the natural light was flooding the house! I had so much fun with these kids showing me their rooms, with camera in tow. I enjoyed capturing their special collectables and treasure, and their farm, truck and sword collection :) Please take a peek at my inspirational feature at the end, the “unplanned session” Thank you so much “F’ family for having me spend a couple hours with you <3
Swinging into Spring – Sylvan Lake Family Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing my own two girlies the other day. They were so good at the “session” because the new swing in the studio is SO MUCH FUN! Twirling and laughing, we had a great afternoon getting toes painted, hair curled and putting on twirly spring dresses! So while the weather has been great, it’s still fun riding swings inside the house! I’m so proud of how amazing they can be together as sisters and these photos just melt my heart <3.

Newborn Green Pixie Knitted Hat Give Away!
As you may know, I have taught myself how to knit. I love the time I get to sit, craft and create. Newborn hats are a perfect project for me because I can work on one in a sitting. I get the satisfaction of not only creating a super cute item, but that I finish the project! I have become the girl that also carries a knitting bag around, I just can’t put it down! (like on monday nights my girls have gymnastics. I sit on the chinese torture chair watching my girls and creating while I wait 2.5 hours :) I have created a collection of hats, that although I would love to keep all of them, I must part with some of them :) That is why I am having a Give Away contest to WIN this little green cutie!
