Sigh. Sweet Harlow…She was another healthy baby girl at 9lbs and 4oz! She was also another sweet sleeper and was so good to me that I didn’t want to give her back! Her mom sat watching as I worked with her and sighed saying it was the longest she’s gone without holding her! She is going to be one loved little girl and I’m so happy for both her parents! Congratulations P family on a darling little girl!
So many favourites, too hard to chose! Blake was 9lbs and was butter in my hands, she was an angel at her session! Her parents had a vintage pram that they asked to be included into the session. Once I seen it, I was so excited to use it!
Congratulations B family on a beautiful addition to your family!
What another fabulous session! I am just loving shooting session in my downtown studio space here in Sylvan Lake! Jordyn rocked her newborn session and I wish I could have just kept her! She slept and slept and allowed us to have lots of fun dressing her up in super cute headbands and as a little snow princess! I hope she continues being an easy going baby for her parents! Thanks for having me capture her while she was so tiny! I’m sure she has grown up so much already!
Oh the demands of a little one in the house! Lincoln is now :just: six months old and reminds us every day that he is here! There is no denying that there is another babes in the house, the girls are so super good with him! Malika loves “smearing” her brother with an over abundance of how “cuuuuuuute he is” and so many kisses at one time! She also enjoys being on the floor and showing him how to enjoy his toys while she chats to herself while link listens in. Amika is also a wonderful help, she has mastered the art of professional court jester. She will bounce around to get a smile, and if we’re lucky a good cute laugh out him! Link is what they call a boy : noise with dirt on it. The noise is definitely evident as he makes his presents known with crying and wanking. He has been given the nickname Rots, all in good fun. At this time he is really wanting to try and crawl, and can just sit up, but not for long. He has kept us busy, but I’m sure its only going to get busier as he gets on the move in the near future!
I had such a wonderful time meeting the “T” family! The weather was already chilling off and the leaves had fallen off most of the trees in the forest, but I can never pass up the classic tall grass locations. Looking back on these photos I can’t wait to shoot in the same location this summer. The girls were so well behaved and we had a great time posing in the grass and waiting for the perfect moment when the sun would pop out from the clouds. I’m so happy this family took the time to update their pictures, it’s far too often I hear the “we haven’t had :nice: pictures taken since our wedding” from families.
Am I ever glad to be done doing all the reno’s in my new studio located downtown Sylvan Lake! It was SO much work! When I first looked at the space to rent, I have to admit, I was pretty unsure about it. It was so outdated, dingy and dark. It needed a whole lotta love……. After what felt like GALLONS of white paint, (over 12 to be exact) the place finally turned into something special! I adore all the white and light in the space, and that fabulous pallet wall that my husband worked on for hours with me. I have included a few before shots I took with my iPad. I wish I took more, but I was just so excited to get started!
In the end, the amount of space I now have to work in is amazing! With all this space I am able to have 3 or more different shooting areas set up and ready, saving me time during our sessions as I no longer have to put up and take down just to make room. I am also able to accommodate group shots much more easily.
The place feels like another home away from home, so bright, fresh and fun! I hope you enjoy coming to see me for your photography sessions in the new space.
We can enjoy a hot coffee, decide colours and pick out props to make your session truly custom.
I look forward to working together and showing you my new studio in person!
