It’s always such a pleasure when clients come back to you year after year for family sessions, and then book you for a maternity & newborn session as well! I also feel honored that they drive from Calgary just to visit me! I always have so much fun with Kelly, she is the kind of girl that is infectiously happy and makes my job easy! Thanks for making the trip to see me and look forward to seeing you in a few short weeks.

The second of my Fall Family Mini session event in Sylvan Lake!
My first session of the day for the Fall Family Mini session event in Sylvan Lake.
What a session! This gorgeous family wanted to incorporate their sweet red Mustang, so I was happy to find a great location that the owner allowed me to drive it thew the property. (many thanks!!!) I love when I find locations and people are so happy to have me use them! Getting permission is always a top priority for a session when the location is owned by someone else, but I have to tell you, it takes a lot of time. Time of loading the kids into the van and randomly driving around, going to random strangers houses, knocking on their doors with a smile to ask permission (and guts). So far, I’m pretty lucky, because no one has ever said no to me! So the day of this family session was HOT. The sun stayed up high and I know it can be hard with younger kids in the evening to keep everyone not only cool, but happy and in the mood for me to snap away. It was so special to work with this family again, and see how much the kids have grown since last year! You may remember their session {HERE}. After everything was said and done , we got some amazing captures and I’m so glad I pulled it off for them! I’m so in love with so many images, and I’m happy to share a peek of our evening with everyone. Thank you “B” family for being so fun, happy, playful and patient at the session, because in the end, it all worked out so perfectly! Enjoy!

I love when my clients enjoy their sessions and love their products… I will call this year’s Fall Mini sessions, another success! I had such great families that came to the fall mini sessions! The red of the barn and the old orange silo both worked out wonderful for fall and winter photos! The sun didn’t come out too much on the Mini session day, especially on the backside of the red barn, so I used my studio lights to keep it nice and bright with lots of richness! The sun peeked out here and there over the day, which was perfect for the orange silo spot! Thank you to the owner of the location for allowing me to set up and take over this area of the farm for the whole day!
