I was contacted by Casey to do a session of him and his beautiful dog Keeva. We took quite the 1.5 mile hike along the Red Deer river by Innisfail because miss keeva knows this location as this is where Casey takes her for long walks.  We walked threw the spring mud and slush, threw puddles that were much too deep for my boots and made it all the way to the end of the trail at the most beautiful time of day, sunset!  It was such a beautiful day to enjoy being out and about, enjoying the fresh air and the beauty of spring making it’s appearance along the river which lucky for us, still had some ice and snow patches.  Keeva is a beautiful calm 11 year old Siberian Husky that I kept up with taking pictures along her journey threw the trails, doing her sniffing.  I can’t tell you how good it felt to shoot outside for the first time in a long time!  Although this was my first shoot of a pet, I think it was such an amazing adventure, I’d totally be up for it again!!  On this shoot I took my Dh and I’m so thankful that I had the extra set of hands this afternoon.  It was so nice of him to carry my equipment threw the trails, hand me different lens’s, hold the reflector and trees back from the shots, and hang out with me working for the afternoon.  I also want to thank Casey for allowing me to meet you and Keeva, and capture some memories of you two together and jump start my inspiration for the year!  Enjoy :)
